Washington cuts sanctions on Myanmar

samedi 12 décembre 2015

The U.S. Treasury Department has temporarily lifted certain trade sanctions on Myanmar, aiming to reinvigorate trade and support a peaceful political transition of the country.
Major logistics facilities, including Yangon’s Asia World Port Terminal and Yangon International Airport are now available to U.S. companies trading with Myanmar.
The exception is set to expire in June, but is widely expected to be extended.
